The Walltherm Vajolet is the latest model to come from Walltherm.

It has a very economical and ecological way to burn the wood because of the downburning gasification process. This innovation means that it uses less wood than other appliances to produce more heat. Along with that 91% efficiency comes a seriously clean burn, producing considerably lower particulate emissions than other domestic stoves.

The top combustion chamber offers a large viewing window giving you the traditional log fire effect, whilst the bottom door shows the spectacular gasification flame. This design is unique as it is able to gasify without the need for electric fans. The flame in the bottom chamber can reach 1000°C but as it heads up the boiler tubes that heat is stripped out and given to the water and by the time it reaches the top of the stove the temperature is down as low as 170°C.

For a Walltherm to operate at its peak it will need a minimum chimney height of six metres and properly seasoned hardwood logs.

With 80% of the heat going to the boiler and just 20% going to the room, this is a great split for modern insulated houses that need domestic hot water but not loads of heat into the room. The Vajolet can also be fitted with direct air supply, so giving you a closed system. We would recommend connecting this stove to a thermal store.

This picture is from a happy customer and, although the Vajolet does have a distance to combustibles of only 100mm, we did inform them that he has his firewood positioned too close to the stove.
