Wood Pellet Stoves
Wood pellet stoves are 21st century woodburning - turning pellet stoves on and off at the flick of a switch, totally programmable and thermostatically controlled operation and the satisfaction of knowing that you are heating your home in a more environmentally responsible way using a low carbon fuel and benefiting from the government Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
Pellet stoves need little attention compared to a wood stove. The fire is constantly adjusted so that it burns efficiently. This not only means less hassle, and more enjoyment for you, but it also means less fuel is used, more heat delivered, and less particulate emissions created. Ecodesign legislation sets the particulate emissions limit for pellet stoves as half of that for wood stoves, and because the fire is automatically regulated there simply isn't the scope for user error that there is with a manual stove, you can't forget to adjust the air controls for instance, because the stove does that for you already.
