A stunning stove from Westfire, the Uniq 26 is similar to the Westfire 15 (which is the stove I use in my office) but with a few distinctive differences. The most obvious feature of the Westfire 26 is the window. The curved window and door of this stove is really wide, giving a huge view of the flames. I have put a couple of pictures in the extra details section below of a Westfire 26 burning so you can see the wide view you get and how well it burns. Like the other Westfire stoves the 26 is very controllable and efficient. The door handle is sited discretely down at the base of the door which I think is a nice touch. There is the option of a direct air connection which makes the Westfire 26 stove well suited to the modern, well sealed, house.

There is a SE version which is DEFRA exempt for use in smoke control areas and you can option a direct air model should you need an external air supply.

A magnetic stove pipe thermometer which will stick your first length of fluepipe and help you to keep your Westfire Uniq 26 Ecodesign stove running within the correct burning range - so not too cool, where you could be creating tar in your chimney, or too hot, where you are wasting fuel and risk damaging your appliance.
Westfire 26

"This customer wrote to us after installing after their Westfire 26 was installed together with the Selkirk twin wall flue.As the photo shows, our stove is situated against the glass-side of our conservatory (to make the most of the view over open fields) and the flue goes through the glass roof! The precise position of the stove required some detailed calculations so as to meet the various distances required. The 3m flue (the height of which meets building regs) is bolted to the steel frame of the conservatory by a wall bracket and a wind brace. It was second-time lucky on the choice of a suitable flashing - an aluminium one cut to a circle and glued to the glass with sealant. As can be seen in the photo, a second flashing is placed internally as a mirror-image of the external one to provide cloaking. A local company took on the unenviable task of replacing the double-glazed glass roof panel with one with a hole in it and of course we are eternally grateful to our installer Andy of AJS Services (Cambridge) for being willing to take on such an unusual job! And thanks to Susi and the team at Stovesonline for providing valuable support throughout."
