The Fondis Ulys 900 double sided has the large glass viewing panel that is the trademark of all Fondis stoves but, being double sided, allows you to bring the warmth and cosiness of an open fire into two rooms at the same time. The Ulys 900 is a very clean burning stove and creates a wonderful flame pattern. The glass stays clean so that you always have a good view of the fire.

Most of the heat from this stove is given out as convected warmth. The stove is designed to draw in cold air off the floor, heat it as it circulates around the stove, and release it as warm air back into the room. This means that it never becomes uncomfortably hot immediately around the fire and that it will spread its warmth a long way.  With the double sided model both spaces will receive a really even warmth right across the room. Fondis fires are very controllable and can be run fast when they are first lit to get lots of warmth into the room and then burnt slowly at tick over just to keep things cosy.  

As with all the Fondis range, the warm air can also be ducted from the chamber to other rooms. A common method is to duct it into the hall, so allowing the heat to spread to upstairs as well, or the duct can be taken up the chimney and then the warm air vented into an upstairs landing or bedroom.

The counter balanced up and down doors mean that re-fuelling is straightforward. The stove can also be used with the door in the open position giving the effect of an open fire. All the stoves in the Ulys range have a direct air connection so combustion air is taken from the outside, which means no draughts are created within the room.

The high level of craftmanship and engineering skills are obvious on all the Fondis stoves but it is their apparent simplicity that makes them look so good as well as work so well.

Narrow frames now available, these will be 100mm in depth as opposed to the standard frames of 160mm. Thus bringing the glass window closer to the face of the wall.
These narrow frames are installed where Thermalux board is being used.
