Hoxter Blox 50 Accumulation Stove

Heat is stored up in the masonry mass of the Hoxter Blok 50 stove and released gently over a long period. This is especially helpful for well insulated homes as it allows you to install a stove with a relatively high output, and generous fire chamber, but avoid the large peaks in heat which would otherwise happen. With the initial firing and just one refuel the Blok 50 can provide heat over an extended 12 hour period.

The Blok 50 has a large window to the fire and like all Hoxter stoves burns beautifully, is controllable, efficient and a pleasure to use. A direct air duct can be connected to an outside supply. The Blok 50 weighs in at 425kg and so you need to make sure that there is adequate support in the floor for it. As well as the 40mm thick concrete outer casing there are heat accumulation rings inside which are an integral part of the stove, and which also soak up heat. In general 75% or more of the heat from the stove will come slowly from the body of the stove, 25% or less will come from the glass and door directly into the room when it is lit.

We think that the natural concrete finish which the Blok 50 has looks great, however we can also order specialist paint from Hoxter if you'd like to paint it to match specific decor.
