Flexible chimney liner system design, height of the register plate
The register plate closes off the opening to your chimney so that only the flue from the stove is allowed through. This stops debris from the chimney falling onto your stove as well as stopping the heat from the stove dissappearing up the chimney - where it won't do much good.
If you already have a register plate then simply measure the distance from the hearth / floor where the stove is to the underside of the plate.
If we are making you a register plate then you should position it at a height inside the chimney where it is not visible. Generally this is between 1000 and 1500mm. Ideally the length of flue from the stove to the plate should not exceed 1000mm so bear this in mind when deciding the height.
